We have seen some remarkable works of God over the past several months through our mission trips and discipleship programs. We had the joy of attending a voluntary worship time on Thursday night before Good Friday. The high school worship teams organized the evening. It was a good time. We were able to hear some great testimonies - including one from a young lady that was saved in January. She is the only believer in her family - and was in the OASIS section of our school. She asked for prayer for her brother who wrote on a supply list she had from school for her mission trip. The list had "Bible" on the top - he wrote beside it "or other interesting works of fiction." Another young man from Africa (Nigeria, I think), commented on how much he had grown as a Christian while at YISS. We have also had several elementary students saved. God is great.
I had a super busy winter/spring. I traveled to the states and made seventeen different flights while recruiting and visiting. When I got back, I started meeting more often with our Korean Foreign Schools Foundation members - takes a bit of time each week. We have had several school activities - including International Night that had over 2000 people! I am with a young man from Saudi Arabia.
We also just took a "study tour" that the foundation sponsored to Gyeougju - a historical province section of Korea. It was a nice two-day trip for the twenty-three who signed up. We visited burial tombs, temples, traditional Korean homes. The province is also home to Hyundai Motors - we spent one afternoon visiting their assembly line and seeing their exporting process. Below Becky is standing beside one of the cars assembled there.
Becky and I did get away for spring break on a vacation - five days in Bali, Indonesia. Becky needed this vacation after surviving her "first" winter in over 7 years.
